I don't know how to start it. I just know I am feeling the happiest man ever on Earth.
3 weeks ago, when I have been contacted by the people whom are working on Céline's DVD project, I couldn't imagine i would ever realize my dream, and i did it, i just did it!!!
It was not even a month since i had arrived from a trip to Québec, not even 2 months i had seen Céline in Vegas, weeks after having received a kiss and a hug from her, and it was all supposed to happen.
First Step: I had to convince my father to lend me some money as I was completely broken since my last trip in november; C
Second Step: I had to ask my boss a day off; C
Third Step: I should find flight for a soon-to-happen trip; C
Fourth Step: Purchasing last minute tickets for Céline's A New Day... C
Next steps:
- Getting a camera to film everything possible, my collection, my family, my friends and my home town. Well, i had to film as much as possible so that i could be one of the fans whom will make part on the DVD and on a TV special from Québec... C
My weekend before the trip was awesome, i hope i can be one of the selected fans, i found my grandma so cute trying to say "Hi" in English to Céline!! heheh We had lots of fun - my friends and I.
- Looking for early times pictures of myself, cool, i got to remember my childhood times and got to see pictures of my grandma (the one who passed away last year)... hard but cool i think C
A few more days of waiting and... there I was again: LAS VEGAS!!!
Two nights, January 19th and 20th... a total of 19 concerts and on saturday... the greatest day! What happened?
I MET CÉLINE!!! Yes, Céline Dion Herself:
Patrick took us inside the Green Room (a room where artists rest and relax), and just said "You were supposed to be here for an interview right?", we all said, "yes", but "I'm sorry, you'll not be interviewed now, but will meet Céline"... a few minutes later, there she was... I couldn't control my emotions, i think i was the 4th or the 5th in line to talk to her, we had no more than 2 minutes, i wanted to cry, but i was trying to hold it because i didn't want to waste my time again (in 2002, when i met Céline in Los Angeles, i just met and forgot everything i wanted to say, i even forgot to ask for a picture), a couple of minutes more and then she was, right in front of me...
Céline said Salut (Hi in French.. .everything happened in french and I will try to translate it here)
I gave Céline a Lucky Finger made with Brazilian wood (it's like a finger crossed), Céline loved it and said she is very superticious.
I said
to Céline i was her fan for 11 years and that to see her live in concert for the
first time, i sold my own car to get the money to do it.
I also told her I was studying french to understand her songs, she said i was
doing really good with the french, i answered back showing my Québec Jacket and
saying I considered myself more Québecois (someone who was born in Québec) than
Brazilian, and she said She considered myself a Québecois now... I think it was
sooo sweet when she said that!!!
Well, i went on telling how much I love her, and how important she is to me, I was also thankful for such inspiration gives, and said she's 100% of my time along, I mean, i listen to Céline wherever I am, while I'm driving, in the subway, at home... in my thoughts! She then gave me a so warm and tight hug and kissed me twice on the cheeks.
We had a picture together (which should arrive in the next months) and i left the room, giving chance to the next fan in line.
During the concert she sent me a sign from the stage (confirmed by a girl during the interview - Céline asked her if I noticed she was trying to catch my attention, isn't she sweeet??)
After the concert Mireille and I were interviewed and when it was almost 1am, René sent thru a girl two strawberries covered with chocolate (the girl said Céline left them both to mireille and I when she heard we were the last ones to be interviewed... wasn't she sweet?????)
I can't find words to express how happy i am today... would like to leave you with a message:
WE All
have dreams, doesn't matter how big and how hard they are, keep them and do your
best to carry them through, this is the reason we go on, when we have no dreams, we
have no life.
Meeting Céline was priceless, a dream come true, something no money in this
world can buy...
Thank
you all for your precious support... and thank you Jean-Phillipe for selecting
me!
Love,
Estevam
