o º o º o º o º o º o º Las Vegas 2006 o º o º o º o º o º o º o º

First of all about the 25 years in showbusiness book! I was at the Box Office and i had the book with me, in case i would meet Michel Dion or something. I decided to show the book to Amie who works there. She loved the book so much that she told her manager about it. I told them that my friend from Colorado called them about the book and that it was okay to leave it there for Talia or Patrick. So that’s what i did and i asked them if they could please give it to Celine today! We put a red ribbon on it, so it really looked like a gift!

The 1^st show was on Wednesday, Celine was not so happy as usual... ( well, Wednesday is like a Monday to her! Back to work!) The show is still the same, nothing changed yet.

The 2^nd show was a lot more fun! My 2 friends and i we stood at the Box Office and then Sarah from the Box Office waved to me, like come over here.. So i walked to her and then Patrick’s assistent came to me with a showprogram in her hands. She said: Are you Mireille? Here this is for you, from Celine. I opened the showprogram and it said:

To Mireille,

Thank you for all your hard work, love Celine Dion xx...

Wow, i was so impressed with it! A personal note from Celine herself to me!!!!!

At first i couldn’t read it very well... ( what a shame!)

Then i turned around and i saw Patrick with Anna Del Martino. He recognized me from the last times i was in Vegas and he was on the phone. He wanted to talk to me, so he said, like wait a second. When he was done with his phonecall, i showed him the showprogram i just got. He asked me how many times did you see the show already? I told him it will be the 23 time tonight. Anna told us something like, i have done your rooms today! We didn’t understand her and we didn’t even know who she was! (oops

We stayed at Caesars Palace! We were so stupid , we didn’t ask Anna about what she meant... and we thought, she probably thinks we are somebody else. ( i still don’t know what she tried to say to us!!!!)  Then i told Patrick that the next day it would be my birthday and that we would be in the show again. He had to go back to work so we said goodbye.

We ran to our room right away. We looked in the showprogram to the photos and then we saw who Anna was. She works at CDA! Gosh, we were so silly to not know her!

That night, the show was great!!!! I sat on the first row AA and when Celine came on stage with A New Day Has Come... she looked to me right away and she smiled to me. Then i knew she got the book and she loved it. The project was a success! That night we had a lot of eyecontact, especially with If I could... i didn’t dare to ask her, because i told myself before, i will ask her.. Can i give you a hug? But i didn’t do it!  (how silly!

The end of the show, the dancer gave her 2 roses and i saw she asked him, Why?

So my 2 competitors were a very old man of 90 i guess (!!!) and a little boy of around age 7. She looked at me and doubted about what to do with the 2^nd rose, she gave it to the little kid, maybe he was ill. So he got the rose! The old man is a very lucky man, he got the rose for the 3^rd time!!!!

So i missed my chance again of getting a hug from Celine!

Anyway, the next day it was my 25^th birthday! It was so much fun to hang out with 3 Celine fans the whole day. We had so much fun there in Caesars!

That night again we saw Patrick, or exactly he saw us! We didn’t look for him at all! I asked him if he could thank Celine for her note to me. He said, i already did. And that she looked through the book! He told me that he saw the book in her dressingroom. I said to him, she must be very busy. And he said, yes she is very busy! My friend Estevam told him that Celine was not so good on Wednesday ( not so happy etc.) He said, yes she has her good and bad days. I joked, it is the beginning of a new week of work right! He laughed! Then he asked me if i would like to have some Champagne. I don’t really like alcohol, but how can i refuse that from Celine’s stephson! LOL So, yes, he introduced us to the bartender as, these are the real fans from Brazil, The Netherlands and Arizona. Give them a bottle of Champagne to celebrate her birthday. That was so nice of him. I told him we will not get drunk in the show! He said, just take a sip and then again some water! LOL

The 4 of us were all goofy and when we entered the Colosseum we could not stop laughing. Tatiana, Estevam and i were on row BB and Julie was right behind us on row CC. It was the first time Estevam drank alcohol in his life, so he saw everything turning around! LOL

This was the most funniest show i ever saw.  I think Celine liked it too, sometimes she had a hard time of not laughing. She was doing crazy again on the stage, dancing around! Cool! 

(we made her feel happy again!)

She talked a lot on stage, i love that! She told us about RC that he has a 2^nd woman in his life! His teacher. Then he tells Celine, but my teacher said it’s ok. Celine said something like, what if he gets his first girlfriend, i don’t like her already! But we talk about this later ok? I said out loud, yes, after the show! LOL

That night after the show we walked through Caesars on our way to the restaurant La Terrazza, because that’s where i got my birthday dinner from my friends! Then suddenly Estevam saw Maman Dion. We walked to her and i spoke to her in French. Maman Dion, ςa va? Enchantée, she asked me: Vous êtes de Montréal? I told her, non je suis de La Hollande. She looked at me like: Wow! She was there with 1 of Celine’s brothers ( sorry, don’t know who) and her daughter in law, there were more people with her. But it went too fast to see who they were.

Then she walked further and we had dinner! I think she stayed at Caesars too. During our dinner we were all speechless, because we had just met Celine’s mum!  I started to speak three languages at the same time, English, Dutch and French. LOL

Her mum looked old ( she is 80 right!) and Estevam told me that she lost some weight.

He met her a few years ago.

Saturdaynight, the last show! Again it was so much fun! When Celine sang the lyrics: I can’t believe i’ve been touched by an angel with love, she looked at me! That was awesome, like she sang it for me!!!!!!

I had a lot of eyecontact that night. I almost forgot.. before the show we waited in the Colosseum and then Tatiana saw Rene walking by with a bodyguard. He was busy with talking and he walked really fast. So i could not go after him, i did not want to scare him and to be rude!

Too bad we didn’t speak to him! It was a wonderful week in Las Vegas and i have 3 new friends! This trip i will never forget, and i keep the memories in my heart!
