December 27th 2007 - I'm Back! Unfortunatelly I just got back from a 20 days trip to Montréal and Vegas and had to go back to working as well and my lack of time is way bigger than my love and my wish to work on this site. So, I'll be coming back soon with the review from all Célinish things I've experienced.

First of all, I'd like to thank all fans especially the ones in Québec and my home Brazil for their acknowledge.

By now, It's a bit hard for me to make a news review of the last 20 days, so I'll keep on going from now on, ok? I hope I don't make you sad!

Some of the news:

- In January of 2008, A New Day... will broadcasted on the French-Canadian television network, TVA!! This special presentation of the entire show, which was recorded using ten cameras over the span of five performances and from several different angles, will air on January 27. TVA will also broadcast 2 one-hour shows featuring footage from the recently released 'Celine Dion - Live in Las Vegas' DVD on January 20. Stay tuned for more details!

- Taking Chances is still #1 in Québec

- Since the release of Celine's highly anticipated A New Day... DVD earlier this month, copies have been flying off the shelves all over the world! Retailers have reported that they simply cannot keep up with the demand. Renaud-Bray, a Quebec-based retailer was recently quoted in the by the media as saying that despite having tripled their orders, their entire stock was sold out within a day. HMV reports that over 80% of their inventory was sold by the end of the day on December 11. Close to 500,000 copies of the DVD have been sold worldwide and is in the top 10 for DVD sales Canada, the U.S., UK, Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany. Congratulations Celine!

(This is really true... during my trip to Montréal I've had to keep going back to HMV and Archambault every single day to various addresses to get my copy of the DVD)

- Here's a video of Céline playingback Ziggy in Paris, in honour to Michel Berger.

November 23rd 2007 - On this link we can find an interview with René (In French) and Céline given to Jean-Luc Mongrain. They talk about how extraordinary Céline's career has just became. René explains he wanted Céline to be a star in Québec, maybe in France, but she's gone way far from what he expected. They say Céline was (and is) surrounded by her family since the begining and this is probably the main reason for such success. René also explains that on the begining it was nothing but business but within time, he fell in love for Céline as well as she fell in love with him too. He also talks about his cancer and the break on her career (René realised that he never spent much time with his 2 first women and he didn't want Céline to have the same experience). René also says he has plans for Céline for like 10 years, something to protect Céline herself and his 4 'children' from his 'absence' in a near future. Céline explains that now it's a new begining, she wants to tour the world with her son and now it's the best time. She will miss in Vegas all about the family feeling. She said it was incredible to have the best of both worlds, being an artist and still taking care of care a family. She also talks about Taking Chances. She says it's not that she doesn't want to make what she's been doing once again but this album is an evolution, and from now on, she wants to do what she loves way more. She wants to make different things and this album is what proofs to herself at first sight that she can make different and better things. She's also asked about success and she explains she will never leave the people who's been there for her for years, specially, the people from her native Québec, her family, friends, and also fans. The best thing she said on my opinion: 'The richest thing we can get is always being the way we are, the way we have always been, which is the hardest thing".
Thanks Leila for the info!

- Here we can find a radio interview which explains the reason why Halifax was taken out from the world tour. The media on that place started asking the public why Céline Dion would do a show in there? And that Halifax was not a place for her. René made it right. It's the same problem and maybe the same reason why Céline doesn't came to Brazil as our magazines (like the weekly Veja) and TV channels (Like MTV) are putting Céline down everytime they can.
Thanks Cleber Canadion for the info

A
lso the standard version (1 disc) is on normal cd case instead of a digipack. Both bring translated chinese lyrics.

November 11th 2007 - Good Morning! On this link we can find an awesome interview in French where Céline talks a bit about her own. She was asked what could be the thing people mostly misconcept on her, she said it's the fact people think she could never ever stop singing. She even says she would never thought to get to be a star the way she is now. When she was a child, she thought she would do like her brothers and sisters, but everything turned into a really different thing.

On the interview, it's told that she's somehow a person who never says no and accepts whatever her husband/manager chooses. Besides it all, she cryied after Linda Perry (singer) said she could feel Céline was anyhow a not so happy woman, because she has to accept whatever it might be to keep the whole life living she's chosen.

The interview also says René Charles starts taking private classes starting 2009 and they will be living between Florida and Québec (as it was around 10 years ago). Céline also wants to make a movie acting Maria Callas.  And it explains the reason why the DVD wasn't released in 2004, simply because they discovered most of the fans didn't like her short-blond hair.

- And this next one says Taking Chances is a result of a promiss made by René Angélil a couple of years ago to Sony Music. By that time, he promissed Céline would release and promote it in Europe and in America. Céline is #1 priority at Sony Music today.

- Don't forget to turn into ABC Tomorrow. Céline will be on Oprah!

November 8th 2007 - Disappointed! Yes, this is how I feel! It's really rare to get me angry when the subject is Céline Dion, especially when it was not a tabloide gossip. But I'm! Besides the fact that my country has been deleted from the world tour's list (I feel like we're not part of the world) - by the way, I'm kind of solidary with my 'brothers' from Portugal and Spain which had their time excluded either. I don't believe these fans cannot afford tickets for our diva's show. Now we got the worst thing. Many fans in my country can't really afford to pay for a whole trip to see one or two nights of Céline live in Concert, fortunatelly I've been able to doing it along the past 8 years. But they now decided to put the whole tour on sale at once and too soon in advance, it means we can't plan our next time! They're trying to make cash and forgot that fans may have their own cashflow to organize. It means I'll prolly not going to see the rest of the tour simply because I have no money! :(

I know this is not going that far but i want you all to know I'm deeply sad!

If you're cashflow is good healthed, please, be advised that Celine is scheduled to perform in more than 40 cities across North America during her 2008-2009 Taking Chances World Tour! Click hereto check out the concert schedule for details! Tickets & packages* for these shows will available exclusively to TeamCeline members through Ticketmaster.com starting on November 9 OR November 10 at 10:00 a.m. (PT) / 1:00 p.m. (ET). Montréal goes on sale next week! Good Luck!

- On this link we can have an interview in French, given in London. Céline says she's not back, but she's on a new begining. She was asked if she didn't want to give herself some time to do something for herself and she answered she's doing... she doesn't live chatting to her awards and stuff.. she's a family, a son that she loves. She said she wants to tour the world with her mom. Also said she wants to sing what she feels like doing and this is the album in English she's best loved to record. She was asked if she's doing it to a new public, she said, to the new and to doesn't matter who loves it! 'I know i have pleased some before, maybe i won't please them now but I'm sure there'll have a new public that even hated my music before who will love it now'. Cool Ahn?!

- Billboard Magazine published a huge article on this week's issue:

It’s the fourth standing ovation of the evening, as Celine Dion soars through another of her signature hits. The reverent audience inside Las Vegas’ Colosseum at Caesars Palace—many of whom have planned their entire vacations around these 90 minutes—appears to be in awe. And even though she has lived this moment for some 700 nights since launching her “A New Day” residency at the resort in March 2003, Dion still appears stunned by the reception. She looks studiously upon the 4,000 fans, bows gracefully, then raises her arm to share the moment with the troupe of 70 dancers and musicians who fill the stage with her. “A New Day” is credited with helping catapult the town’s reputation as a destination for A-level talent. She has sold 3 million tickets there, according to Billboard Boxscore—and grossed $370.4 million through mid-September 2007. But come Dec. 15, Dion will have left the building.

“People were still questioning us after one week, two months, the first year,” Dion says. “Now we can say we’ve changed something. It’s hard to leave behind, because we started a family with everyone involved in the show. But it’s time for something else.” Enter “Taking Chances,” Dion’s first English-language album in three years. Due Nov. 13 via Columbia, the set signals a sonic left turn for Dion. In a career often trademarked by hits that soar, the AC immortal here more often roars, accompanied by an abundance of guitars and an overall tempo that is brisker, with a deliberate rock tint.

Dion collaborated with a number of producers new to her stable, including Ne-Yo, Ben Moody, Linda Perry, Emanuel Kiriakou and Tricky (see story, page 29), along with stalwarts John Shanks, Kara DioGuardi, Kristian Lundin, Anders Bagge, Peer Astrom, Aldo Nova and Chris Neil. Now, Dion is ready to show the world how she has grown—as a singer, an entertainer and a woman. “It’s not a new Celine,” she says. “There was no deliberate plan after five years to do something else. But I’m like everyone. I’m 39 now. I don’t look like I did 10 years ago, I dress differently—and I don’t sing the same. I have more edge and felt like doing something different.” Still, Dion has been away for a while, and there’s no doubt it took some adjusting on the part of her label when it came to her change in musical direction. But so far, radio looks to be along for the ride.

THE NEXT CHAPTER
While no one would question if Dion decided to fan herself leisurely in the Caribbean for a year or two after “A New Day,” the singer is primed for her next chapter amid a 25-year career marked by relentless ambition. Since her first project in 1982, the French Canadian has sold more than 185 million albums to become the best-selling female artist in history, according to her label. She has won five Grammy Awards, including the 1997 album of the year for “Falling Into You,” which sold 25 million copies worldwide.

Dion’s personal life has also played a role in her livelihood: In 1994, she married manager René Angelil, and in 2001, their son René Charles was born—a primary factor in the decision to put down roots in Vegas. So with “A New Day” winding down, the wheels began turning for “Taking Chances” last December, when her well-tread A&R team of Sony BMG Canada senior VP of A&R Vito Luprano and Columbia senior VP of A&R operations John Doelp started fielding more than 300 songs for the project.

“We met with Celine and René, and she made it clear that she’s at a point where she has nothing to prove—she wants to evolve and to push the envelope—but in the process, have fun,” Doelp says. Luprano notes that Dion is involved in every step of the process and readily knows what she likes. “She has to feel a connection. When a song feels right, she starts acting it out, as if stepping into a role,” he says. “She talks about how she envisions it being produced . . . ‘More guitars here,’ ‘Funky bass there,’ ‘Change the tempo.’ ”

Throughout July and the first half of August, Dion took time off from her show to record at the Studio in the Palms in Las Vegas. And while there is a greater edge to many of the tracks, which might surprise those who believe they have the singer pegged, nowhere does she compromise her essence in an effort to be hip, shocking, overtly contemporary—anything that she’s not. Dion offers a candid view of her perceived reputation, suggesting that as she was building her career, perhaps she was steered in a direction that kept her stylistically staid.

“When people sent me all those romantic songs to make people feel better or to cry, I went there because I had to prove myself,” she says. “Those songs are great and made me who I am today. It wasn’t a mistake, but I didn’t have a lot of choices. Do you think I wanted to hold those long notes forever and kill myself onstage every night? But everybody always sent the hardest songs to sing to me: ‘If somebody can hit those notes, it’s Celine Dion.’ And I can do it; I can hit them, baby. “Now maybe we’re all tired of those 10-second notes—the writers, the people—and they’ve evolved, too,” she continues. “Maybe no one thought I was capable of doing anything else, but I’ve got Heart and Doobie Brothers and Janis Joplin and Creedence Clearwater Revival inside of me, too.”

The album’s 16 tracks offer a full menu of tempos, emotions and lyrical themes, from the wash-away-my-man midtempo ballad “I Got Nothin’ Left,” co-written and co-produced by Ne-Yo, to Perry’s soul-baring pop-along rocker “My Love” and the hands-to-the-heavens “New Dawn.” Shanks produced the album’s electrifying standout performance, “That’s Just the Woman in Me,” which Dion has considered recording for 20 years, but never felt was the right fit for previous albums. Written by Kimberly Rew, it implores, “I need a man to love/Respect me, protect me, rule over, drool over/That’s the woman in me, baby.”

Shanks says, “Her vocal is smoking. She sang just two takes and killed it. At the end, Celine does a scream, like Janis Joplin, which gave us all chills. I brought back a mix to her and she insisted it wasn’t raw enough. She wanted it to sound live, like it was coming from a club.” Dion says, “I was amazed that song waited for me, that no one had recorded it. But now I was scared—I’m used to such control, and this needs to be sung like Joplin. I got myself into a character and put myself into abuse mode and started to sing through my soul and not my vocal chords. I sang it through twice; I didn’t want to work on it, because its honesty needed to be felt. When we played it back, I began to tremble, because I could not believe it was me.”

The overall recording process, Dion adds, was the best she has ever had in the studio. “The songwriters and producers that came with me helped me give it my all. I had the most fun. I have everything in life I could hope for—my husband, my son, who is coming on tour with me—and I wasn’t thinking that I have to deliver something. My voice sounds as strong as my happiness.”

GETTING THE WORD OUT
From Sony’s perspective, Dion’s move toward a less polished sound actually made the job easier when returning to the airwaves with “Taking Chances.” “Of course we wanted to get radio on this,” Luprano says. “Celine made it clear that that’s not why she was making this album or changing her sound, but when we heard these songs, we realized what a perfect vehicle we have. People don’t realize that Celine is only one year older than Gwen Stefani—and here she sounds younger and more contemporary than she ever has.” The radio initiative for the title track launched at AC in mid-September. Despite Dion’s history with 38 charting titles at the format—the most by any artist in the past two decades—and 11 No. 1s, nothing was a given. Since her last top 10 there four years ago, AC has retreated from the softer sounds of Elton John, Phil Collins and yes, Dion, instead supporting a more vigorous template from the likes of Nickelback, Daughtry, the Fray and Snow Patrol.

However, the less-silken sound of “Taking Chances” connected with programmers. In its first week, it blazed onto the AC chart at No. 23 with Most Increased Plays and Most Added honors, corralling key stations on both coasts. This week the song rises to No. 18. “This is the best song from Celine in years,” says Jim Ryan, Clear Channel senior VP of AC programming/WLTW New York PD. “She is still a core AC artist—one of few—and reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. If I were in Vegas, I’d bet my paycheck on it being a No. 1 AC song, as well as a multimillion-selling album. This is truly an event record that will be fully embraced by the masses.” KOST Los Angeles PD/music director Stella Schwartz adds, “We put ‘Taking Chances’ on the air at eight in the morning, and the phones lit up. Response has been unbelievable. No. 1 calls. Anything Celine touches will always be great for KOST and, I believe, for AC radio.” But though the song is off to a strong start, observers acknowledge Dion is so associated with her old sound that it may take some listeners longer to warm to her new sonic experiments.

“A lot of artists insist that their sound can never change—that they have a formula you shouldn’t mess with. Celine is saying that she’s more mature, her voice is changing and she wants to sing what fits her now,” says Michael McVay, president of radio consultancy McVay Media. “I actually think the song is so good and so contemporary that you could take Celine’s name off the CD and increase the number of first-time listens from programmers.”

PERFECT TIMING
Columbia is pulling out all stops for its marquee artist. “Everybody around the world thinks that Celine has made an incredible record, and we are 100% committed,” label chairman Steve Barnett says. “Timing is so important and this album feels right. This is the time for her return. When we look at the opportunities she has on a global platform, it’s amazing.”

The campaign launched Sept. 7 via an alliance with Amazon, which for five days posted a “first glance” in-studio videoclip of Dion recording “Taking Chances” with streaming of the song, along with pre-orders of the disc for $9.99. By the promotion’s close, the album was ranked No. 7 among the site’s best-selling 100—two months before its release.

In October, People magazine will feature Dion on the cover, followed by an avalanche of other print coverage. Columbia also indulged fans with the Oct. 2 release of a “collector’s edition” of her 1998 Christmas CD “These Are Special Times”—with 4.8 million copies sold, it is the second-best-selling holiday album in U.S. history, according to Nielsen SoundScan—which includes gatefold packaging and a DVD of her first CBS TV special; while on Dec. 11, a high-definition DVD release of “A New Day” will be issued. Meanwhile, three versions of “Taking Chances” will be offered at retail: the traditional CD, a two-disc CD/DVD set and a CD/DVD with expanded packaging. Surrounding street date, Dion will devote a full hour to “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” in addition to the usual slate of entertainment TV appearances. Columbia is also aligning with various online partners that are still being locked in. CBS is already using “Taking Chances” to preview its fall Friday night lineup, including promos for new drama “Moonlight.” And in February, she will headline a one-hour musical special on the network featuring performances from the new set.

“So much of what we’re trying to do is let the world hear Celine’s music. That’s always been the driver,” Doelp says. “It’s very much about awareness and letting her large fan base know that she has a new record, and understanding the new direction and things she wants to do and say.” Not that Dion doesn’t invite at least a little mystery—for instance, the dramatic cover art for “Taking Chances,” in which her hair is teased with extensions into a near-lioness mane and her facial expression is curiously cryptic. The idea was all hers. “Maybe there’s a look that people expect, but this is show business. Come on, it’s still the same me, but I decided that I don’t have to paint on a smile to show what’s inside,” Dion says. “Don’t look at my lips and my hair; look into my eyes and feel me, baby. I am smiling there and giving more than ever before. Come with me. Listen and imagine me however you want.”

Fans will be able to do just that on the arena/stadium tour in support of “Taking Chances,” which kicks off Feb. 14, 2008, in Johannesburg with eight shows there that month. (Proceeds go to the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund.) Dion then treks to the Middle East, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and North America. The yearlong outing will cover five continents, 25 countries and more than 100 cities. These shows will be far less intimate than “A New Day,” which Caesars Palace president Gary Selesner says “reinvented how entertainment is perceived in Las Vegas. She brought people into our restaurants, our hotel beds and casino seats, and filled each of them night after night. There are few stars in the world with that ability.”

Dion was guaranteed a $100 million purse, making the Vegas shows worth her while financially. But the commitment left her reputation vulnerable if the engagement, which launched in March 2003, deflated into a high-profile flop. Instead, at an average price of $150, she persistently filled 4,000 seats five nights per week at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace—a $95 million theater custom-built for the show. Billboard Boxscore ranked the AEG Live residency among the top five-grossing concerts worldwide each year.

Though Dion recognizes the risk of wrapping up the engagement, she waves that off as a reason to have made any other choice. “Five years ago, I had done it all. I needed a new challenge,” Dion says. “I wanted to offer my fans something more theatrical and spectacular than anything we’d done before. I never felt I had anything to lose. “This is the best album of my life,” she adds. “If you have a child with all the potential in the world and you don’t give him or her the chance to explore, it’s a loss. My voice and my body are in the best shape ever. I’m more mature and grounded. I need to express myself and show that I feel great and beautiful.”

August 22nd 2007 - Hello! Well, while we've had some rumours surrounding Céline's upcoming English Album, our dear René Angélil invited team céline fans to listen to the already recorded songs in Las Vegas. The album WON'T BE CALLED The woman in me as announced around 10 days ago by certain sites. Like I've said a thousand times already, when a rumour shows up, we should await an official confirmation which WOULD NEVER be mislead at the OFFICIAL WEBSITE (CÉLINEDION.COM). This info came from  a fan (LVCéline from The Céline Dion Forum - Thank you!) whom attended such official meeting. Well, it's still possible one song or another shouldn't be there, but here they are:

1- Taking Chances: this song is abso-freakin-lutely fantastic! Has a great acoustic intro, fantastic vocals by Celine and them speeds up a bit with great vocals towards the end. Very radio friendly and a really great song, I think everyone will love it! Everyone was talking about it, I think it was the favorite.

2-Alone- YES THE HEART COVER: I have to be honest I love this freaking song, so I was super freaking excited to see the title and hoped it would be the same song. When the intro started, I sure knew. I have to say it's pretty much a copycat of the original, vocal wise. Celine sung it the same as Ann Wilson did, including the adlibs and everything. Celine sounded good, but I think it was a bit stale. The middle adlib scream thing wasn't as good, but the ending was good! A bit mechanical and I like the original better I think. Still a good one!

3- Shadow of Love: It has a very unique arrangement! Definitely has a rocky feel to it; uptempo with lots of background vocals I think. Also a harder sounding chorus, it was different but really good!

4-A Song for You: Definitely major piano ballad. She sounds very emotional singing it and it honestly is pretty boring. She also sounds a bit nasal for my liking. Not my favorite to be honest, but I'd have to hear it a few times.

5-This Time: Fantastic arrangement!! Above average as far as songs go. Has a bit of a dark sound to it. Major guitars in the chorus and she sounds kinda angry singing it but it's great!

6-Surprise, Surprise: Great guitar! Sounded a bit cheesy at first, and she sings prett low during the first part, but it ends great and the chorus is great! I liked this one a lot!

7-Can't Fight the Feeling: Very low singing and very different! She sings with some major attitude, and it is pure ROCK. Seriously it's not like any other song she's done, it's very hard for her. I liked it after the second listen, it's really different!

8 -Let me Be Your Soldier: Lyrics are cheesy if you ask me. Has a dark sound and army drums in the background the whole time. Rat-tat-tat kinda sound, hard to explain. Wasn't my favorite.

9-Eyes On Me: Crazy india guitar or something and this song has a MAJOR BEAT! Unlike any beat you've ever heard and this song kicks some serious butt! Everyone's gonna go crazy for this one. If Timbaland did produce anything on the album, it's this song. This song seriously rocks! She sings so awesome.

10-My Love: Very average and pretty much goes nowhere. some good piano arrangment though.

11-World to Believe In: AMAZING ballad. Fantastic lyrics and amazing vocals from Celine. This will be a popular one, it's gorgeous!

12-Right Next to the Right One: This song sounds weird as hell honestly. It has some sort of like ukelele as the main instrument or banjo or something. I didn't like very much, but it's very unique! I don't like the lyrics.

13-Just Fade Away: At first it sounds like The Show Must Go On with some really heavy violin playing! Sounds very dark and has a heavy chorus, but sounds great! I loved it!

14-That's Just the Woman in Me: THIS IS THE SONG YOU WILL WAIT FOR. This is the most blues song she's ever done, and has a classic blues arrangement. Her voice is so bluesy and scratchy at times I thought it would give out! It's astounding the way she sings it and she's never sounded like this before EVER. Fans will go crazy for this one I think! It's just freaking incredible. Possibly the best song on the album with a great high wail at the end.

August 10th 2007 - Hi! News on Céline's new album are about to be spreading out on the news. The Woman in Me may be released on November 13th and should be kind of rocky (Besides Timbaland - mentioned here a couple of days ago), Céline's new kind of job will have artists such as Linda Perry (Pink, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera), ex-Evanescence guitarist Ben Moody and Dave Stewart, as well as John Shanks, Kara DioGuardi, Kristian Lundin and Anders Bagge and Peer Astrom. This is what our diva says:
"I think this album represents a positive evolution in my career,"
"I'm feeling strong, maybe a little gutsier than in the past, and just as passionate about music and life as I ever was."
I remember a few years back when she said she would like to do something like rock so that is what we may expect. I'm with you Céline!

July 29th 2007 - Hey! We have finally got a hint of where Céline is spending her vacation at this moment: In Montréal! hehe Céline recorded the tv show Le Banquier (the banker) with Julie Snyder to celebrate Julie's 40th birthday. Céline was Julie for a couple of moments and gave the opportunity to the creator of the tv show (Julie) to participate of her own show. The money raised has been donated to the Hospital Saint Justine and its foundation and will help on researches for the cure of spinal cord disease. That's our Céline!

June First 2007 - Hi! Céline is making my days so special these past few ones... Specially because my uncle is about to leave us. He's fighting the cancer for 2 months and should not last like another two weeks. It's quite sad and this whole brand new things on Céline are making me stronger and giving me the strength i need to help my family (specially because he's my dad's brother...)

- I received more pictures of the meeting through the e-groups I'm subscribed. I am not having that much time to stay too long on the internet and I'd like to publish them here in order to share to the fans around the world. I am publishing, guess it won't be any problem to any of the fans here but, if there is, first of all, i excuse myself. IF you feel offended, let me know by emailing me and i'll immediatelly erase it. Thank you in advance!

- Also, i received my D'elles today... I already had the music but had no time to watch the DVD through the internet. Céline leaves a so wonderful message on its end. It made me shed a tear and brought myself into shivers:

"Je pense que c'est une sense très importante dans la vie de pouvoir s'assumer, de pouvoir se realiser et de s'accepter. Alors il ne faut certainement pas regarder uniquement celle qu'on n'est pas, mais celle qu'on est. Surtout dans l'amour, surtout quand on est amoureuse. La vraie raison de vivre, la vraie du succès, c'est de rester qui on est... Céline Dion"
She says the most important thing of life is being able to be who we are to ourselves first then to the reast of the world. Is not looking to who we are not only but to the one we really are. Specially when the word is love and when we are in love. The reason of living, the real reason of success, is being forever the one we really are

- Celine recently recorded a special video message to voice her support for the 20th annual ' Opération Enfant Soleil ' Telethon, (in French only) which will air on TVA this Saturday and Sunday. May 26th 2007 - Hello! Céline Dion 'You and I' song is among the selected ones to be part of Hillary Clinton's campaign for next US elections. Click here to vote it! Remember, Hillary is another fan of our Céline.

- Now in Québec, D'elles is about to be twice platinum. Sold almost 200,000 copies since it was released, 5 days ago. To be platinum an album should sell 100,000 copies.

May 25th 2007 - Hello! I'm so happy with the Célinish news I've got today. As you know, Céline will go to Europe next year, and it's being quite hard to get tickets even if they're going on sale like a year before the show goes on. The concert scheduled for July 9th 2008 at La Praille of Geneva (Switzerland) sold out in one day only. In four minutes, 5,000 tickets were already gone.

- Besides the success of concert sales (reminding she's almost sold out in Vegas until december of this year), D'elles got GOLD Disk in one day. Yes, in Belgium 15,000 copies of the album were sold on monday.

- 1,508,000 viewers watched to the TVA D'elles Special on monday ONLY in Québec (not considering those like me who watched through the internet).

- Canadá, Québec and USA are scheduled for the second half of next year. Montréal is scheduled for August and dates should be announced next september. Céline's next album will be in English and is scheduled to be released in October.

- And here another picture of our diva on her WONDERFUL SMILE! Our Angel, je l'aime!

May 21st 2007 - A few minutes ago the Special 'D'elles' went on air and it made me cry so much. Specially when i saw the writer of Si j'étais quelqu'un. This song, on my point of view, may have so many different meanings... Can be someone on health problems, can be someone locked on itself's fear of living a free life or being judged by others' opinion, can be someone like Céline, a so beloved artist who cannot walk alone on streets... Well... this is one of my very favourite's on the album.

- Here we have a couple of pictures of Céline in Vegas, on a conference for D'elles:

Thanks Tativale :)

- Team Céline members as usal are having the privilege of listening to all song clips day by day. I still loved Immensité best myself. Besides the song clips, we have been blessed with the video from this song which is just AMAZING. Céline looks sweet and more herself on it. I loved it a whole lot better than Et s'il n'en restait qu'une. Here's a small capture from the video. As it has been released for teamcéline members only, i am not allowed to put it here yet... but i am sure you can find it on youtube
:)

- The special May 14 issue of Télé-Loisirs (in French only) features a new interview with Celine and Rene as well as an article about the video shoot for the soon to be released "Immensité" music video. "Immensité" is the second single from Celine's new album 'D'elles' .

April 29th 2007 - Hello! First of all, i'd like to thank everyone for the words sent. I got ill for one week due to a bacterium infection. Don't know how, many Céline's Fans discovered and sent me their best wishes. Be sure it really helped a lot! Thank you! Now a bit of what happened along the week:

- 2 days ago, Immensité (my favourite on the new album until now) started to play on radios.

- on the 25th, Céline did one of the best performances of her career (on my opinion). She sang "If I can dream" with 'Elvis Presley'
(Thank you in advance for the romanian site on Elvis for the video)

Some curiosities on this performance:
- On April 9th Céline went on studio to record a click-track for the song. Rene had refused to do it on April 6th because everytime she goes to LA, she gets sick later then, but after learning David Foster would be the producer, he accepted.
- Lisa Marie Presley (Elvis daughter) had to approve the performance before it was shown on TV. She couldn't stop crying after she saw Céline singing, it was the first time in 30 years that she doesn't disapprove a duet with Elvis.
- The video was the 5th most watched over the internet. And on TV, over 40 million people have seen the duet!

- Celine has lent her creativity to eBay's charity auction 'Plates for Parkinson's' in support of the Parkinson Society Maritime Region (Canada). The organization is auctioning off plates that have been designed, hand drawn and autographed by celebrities. Each plate features a hand drawn tulip, which is the symbol of the Parkinson Society. Proceeds from the auction will go to support services, education and research for the organization. Other celebrity plates include, Tom Hanks, Sidney Crosby, Martha Stewart, Dr. Phil, and more. Make sure to visit eBay Canada as of May 4, 2007 to place your bid on Celine's plate!

April 22nd 2007 - Hi My friends. About 10 days ago I got this new on Céline which is very curious (I'm sorry for not coming earlier... too many things and problems and not the same time available). According to this link from Canoe.ca, Céline will have a film on her life and career.  Producted by Barna-Alper, from Toronto, the film which is not going to have a french version (Unfortunatelly). It's scheduled to go on air on CBC by the begining of 2008. Christine Ghawi (actress from Montréal), will be Céline on her adult age and Jodelle Ferland, from Nanaimo (British Columbia), will be Céline by the age of 12.

- Celine will make an appearance on American Idol for their special charity show, 'Idol Gives Back.' Several well known artists are also scheduled to appear, including Gwen Stefani, Pink and Annie Lennox in an effort to raise awareness for groups that help poverty-striken children in the U.S. and Africa. This event will be part of American Idol's April 24 and April 25 episodes! More details to come!

March 30th 2007 - Hi! I'm still not that good but... Céline deserves!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CÉLINE!!!!!!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!

March 19th 2007 - Hi Everyone! Sorry for not coming here for so long. Besides Céline's vacation (which is something normal), I've had personal problems along the past few weeks: death on family, I was ill for about 10 days and now we discovered my uncle (my dad's brother) might have not one but two cancers. We are all a bit sad because this is not the first time our family get shocked with diseases like this one...

Well.. talking about Céline: If you wanna try your chair at the party for the release of Céline's new french Album D'elles in Hollywood, by clicking CANOE you will get info on it (Basically, you should write a letter in honour to whatever woman you better in your life, it can be your mom, your grandma, your daughter, your wife... doesn't matter, you just have to explain in 350 words why this woman makes a difference in your life.

- Thanks to PureCéline site, here's the cover art for D'elles album:

- Announced prices and seats for the event where Céline will sing in South Africa. Date is not yet confirmed, but Céline will sing for 1 hour and a half (it's supposed to be on Feb 14 2008 - as informed by the website).

February 26th 2007 - Hi! I couldn't control my emotions yesterday night while watching to the Oscar. I believe it was one of Céline's best performances ever! The way she's put her voice up high could make me and everyone else fly away! Thank you Céline!!!

Find some pictures of Céline at the pre-show and performing 'I knew I loved you':

Would lead me to you

An evening star
Was from afar
It guided me here
It knew you'd be here

Now wrapped in moonlight
At last together
Here in the incandescent glow
We are all we need to know
As we softly please each other
'Til the stars and shadow glow
And we sleep
With our dreams around us.

Oooohhhh ahhh
Ooohhhh oh yeahhh

It guided me
It knew you'd be here

I knew I loved you
Before I found you
I knew I'd built my world around you
Now all my days
And all my nights
And my tomorrows
Will all begin
And end
With you...

With you.

January 12th 2007 - Some news on Céline's new album taken from Canoe.ca:

Céline will sing songs from Denise Bombardier, Lise Payette, Janette Bertrand and Marie Laberge, 4 Québécoises, whom'd composed especially for her.

Rene Angélil confirmed the day before yesterday the news published at the Journal de Montréal. Denise Bombardier wrote La Diva for Céline. Lise Payette wrote Je cherche l'ombre (I search a shade), a melody which always refers to the star she is. Janette Bertrand, which recently received the singer at her emission, wrote Berceuse pour mon fils to René-Charles, and the best one, Marie Laberge wrote Le Temps qui compte (what's worth it)

These four song writers were contacted by Céline and Rene Angélil and immediately agreed to collaborate.

For the occasion, Denise Bombardier and Marie Laberge even flew in to Las Vegas, to see Céline's A new day... and still talk to our diva. Lise Payette, whom's always remained in the heart of Céline, had an interview long time ago and shared some moments on céline's love for René.

Céline Dion will interpret a famous letter sent in 1834 to Alfred de Musset by George Sand. Sand, feminist writer whom used a pseudonym of man, was also the woman of Chopin. The music on this text is signed by Éric Benzi.

The melodies, which are all signed by the regular type-setters of Céline, have two names on the list, Marc Dupré and of Jean-François Breau who compose together and are leaning on the text of the famous French writer Francoise Dorin, who makes part of D'elles. "the words were so beautiful that in ten minutes one found the melody, one delivered the goods", declares Dupré.
Francoise Dorin is the one who wrote Que c'est triste Venise, performed by Charles Aznavour (French Singer).

- Sequel to Ocean's Eleven (2001) and Ocean's Twelve (2004). Ocean's Thirteen will be mostly filmed in a re-created casino on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, with some external scenes filmed in Las Vegas. This time around, the team are after diamonds and are out for revenge when a casino owner (Pacino) cuts Tishkoff (Gould) out of a deal. It seems that our Céline will appear on Ocean Thirteenth as "Herself". It's supposed to be released on June 8th 2007. Cool but let's await an official confirmation from TeamCéline
